Lake Gerry Association Donations:

Each year the Lake Gerry Association works to improve the experiences of the residents and visitors to Lake Gerry. Please consider making a donation towards the funds below.

General Fund:

The General Fund is used for general business expenses for the Lake Gerry Association. We use this fund to pay for things such as Tree Removal, Pavilion Maintenance/Repair, Operational Expenses and supplies.

Fish Fund:

The Lake Gerry Association Fish Fund is used to maintain and stock the fish population in Lake Gerry. We work with the DEC and fish hatcheries and lake management groups to determine what fish are best to add to the lake. Each year we have a membership vote to decide what species of fish to add.

Preservation Fund:

This fund supports the restoration and preservation of Lake Gerry. Currently, this fund is the bulk of our operational costs as we work to treat the lily pad overgrowth and mitigate the muck along the shores of the lake. Each year we work to make Lake Gerry a better and healthier ecosystem for us all to enjoy. Please consider donating to this fund.

Adopt-a-Carp Program

To help manage the aquatic vegetation in Lake Gerry, Triploid Grass Carp are recommended by the DEC and our Lake Management firm. These carp can consume about 30% of their body weight in vegetation daily, and have a life expectancy of about 10 years. Please consider adopting-a-carp this year to help us clean up the lake!
